The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is experiencing an Ebola outbreak that has spread to at least four provinces, including Upper Uele. The World Health Organization declared the outbreak a public health emergency and confirmed over 1,000 cases with more than 360 deaths as of June 29. There are also reports of individuals escaping from quarantine facilities in the eastern part of the country.
