Ilya Traber is a Russian businessman from St. Petersburg, linked to urban port businesses and digital technology companies. He was arrested in June 2024 for allegedly organizing the 2020 assassination of deputy and businessman Alexander Petrov. His case is built on testimony from his former driver Igor Lykov, who returned from Ukraine's war zone. Traber also faced charges related to illegal arms trafficking and economic crimes. The investigation has expanded to include his business partner Vladimir Danilenko and Sa'id Saladinov.
