Иркут is a river located in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia. On July 3rd, a tragic incident occurred during a rafting trip on the river in Shelikhovskiy District, where a four-year-old child went into the water and was swept away by the current. The child, along with two adults, went missing during what was described as a mass rafting event involving 49 participants, including 23 children. Following this incident, authorities initiated an investigation and a criminal case was opened in Irkutsk Oblast. A suspect, the organizer of the rafting trip, has been detained.
