Чекалин — блогер и общественная личность, известная своими публикациями о собственном лечении рака четвертой стадии. В 2024 году она была признана виновной в валютных правонарушениях и осуждена к 7 годам колонии общего режима, а также к штрафу свыше 194 миллионов рублей. Ее дело было приостановлено из-за тяжелого состояния здоровья, после чего суд передал его другому судье. Чекалина активно обсуждалась в СМИ как пациентка с онкологией, а также как мать троих детей.
