The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is experiencing a significant Ebola outbreak caused by the Bundibugyo virus, with over 1,600 cases reported across DRC and Uganda, resulting in more than 500 deaths. The World Health Organization has declared it a public health emergency, citing challenges such as ongoing conflict, attacks on medical personnel and facilities, and difficulties in contact tracing. Russia's Rosconsumnadzor developed and supplied PCR diagnostic tests to the DRC, Republic of Congo, and Uganda.
