The Arabian Sea is a region where a U.S. MH-60S Seahawk helicopter made an emergency landing on July 1, resulting in one crew member missing and three others injured. U.S. Navy search and rescue operations lasted over 102 hours across more than 36,000 square kilometers before being discontinued. The area is also a strategic military zone for the United States, hosting two aircraft carriers, multiple warships, amphibious assault ships, and around 300 combat aircraft deployed in nearby countries and at sea.
