Авачинский залив is a body of water in Kamchatka, Russia, where a maritime incident occurred on June 22-23, 2024. Three fishermen went missing after their boat overturned during a fishing trip. Search and rescue operations were conducted by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MCHS), including patrols by boats and helicopters, as well as underwater searches. The overturned vessel was located but no survivors were found.
