В последние годы на Байкале проводятся работы по демонтажу объектов бывшего Байкальского целлюлозно-бумажного комбината (БЦБК) с целью восстановления экосистемы, при этом первый этап демонтажа завершен в 2025 году, а второй планируется к 2027 году.
