The Belgorod Region has been repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian forces, with multiple drone and rocket attacks reported on 16–17 August. These attacks have resulted in civilian casualties, including fatalities in the villages of Kолосково, Zozuli, and Rzhevka, as well as injuries to drivers, passengers, a cyclist, and members of the 'Orel' unit. Regional authorities have reported ongoing repairs to damaged housing, having restored 35 structures in one week.
