Sеверное Киву is one of the eastern provinces in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) that has been significantly affected by an Ebola outbreak. The province, along with Ituri and South Kivu, remains a primary epicenter of the epidemic, where public health measures are ongoing amid challenges such as attacks on medical personnel and facilities. The outbreak was first reported in early May and has spread to neighboring Uganda, with confirmed cases and fatalities recorded.
