Oman is involved in diplomatic negotiations with Iran regarding maritime security and shipping regulations in the Strait of Hormuz. Reports indicate that Oman and Iran have reached an agreement on a maritime navigation map, with discussions focusing on toll-free passage and joint management of the strait. U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly threatened military action against Oman if it interfered with U.S. efforts to resolve tensions with Iran over the strait.
