The Priozersky District is highlighted in multiple news snippets as a region with several officially designated and safe swimming areas, including lakes Ratnoye, Otрадное, Snetskoye, and others. It has been noted for having the highest number of equipped bathing sites in Leningrad Oblast, with water quality meeting sanitary standards set by Rospotrebnadzor. The district also experiences infrastructure-related disruptions such as road closures on federal route A-121 'Sортавала' due to repairs and a velozade event.
