Чкалов is an airport located in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, which has been subject to temporary flight operation restrictions due to security concerns, particularly during periods of heightened military activity and drone threats. These restrictions were imposed by Rosaviation on multiple occasions between June and July 2024, affecting the airport's ability to receive and dispatch flights for several hours at a time. The limitations were lifted after assessments indicated that the immediate threat had passed. The airport is also referred to by its official name 'Чкалов' in Russian media reports.
