The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) is an enforcement agency in Russia responsible for monitoring market competition and pricing practices. It has initiated investigations into price increases for construction rebar, meat products, and fuel, as well as actions by regional waste management operators and e-commerce platforms. FAS has also launched proceedings against Apple over the refusal to pre-install domestic apps and messaging services, and uncovered a cartel in the construction of waste disposal facilities involving nearly 15 billion rubles in violations.
