The International Atomic Energy Agency (MAГАTЭ) is actively present at Ukraine's Zaporozhzhia nuclear power plant, conducting inspections and monitoring safety conditions since 2022. Russian officials, including Alexey Likhachev of Rosatom and Maria Zakharova from the Foreign Ministry, have criticized MAГАTЭ for issuing only general statements regarding attacks on the plant and its personnel, accusing it of failing to provide specific condemnation or identify perpetrators, and being politically influenced.
