The Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) of Russia is involved in the development and testing of vaccines, including those for dengue fever, meningococcus, and colorectal cancer. It is also engaged in research on biologics for autoimmune diseases, with a biosimilar to canakinumab expected to be registered by 2026. The agency conducts space medicine research, develops training simulators for cosmonauts, and implements robotic-assisted surgery technologies in its medical institutions.
