The Russian Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (Mintrud) is responsible for labor policy, social protection, and workforce regulation. It has updated pension procedures to simplify documentation requirements, requiring only a passport and SNILS, and introduced new rules allowing companies to adopt a four-day workweek with mutual agreement between employers and employees. The ministry also issued recommendations for engaging workers over 50, proposed incentives for long-term married couples, and reduced the list of prohibited female occupations by more than fourfold.
