The International Space Station (МКС) is an orbital research laboratory operated through international cooperation, primarily involving Russia's Roscosmos and NASA. In July 2024, officials from both agencies confirmed the extension of joint operations on the station until 2030, following discussions between Roscosmos Director Dmitry Bakanov and NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman. The station recently welcomed a new crew via the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft, including Russian cosmonauts Petr Dubrov and Anna Kikina, and NASA astronaut Anil Menon.
