The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) of Russia is involved in a range of law enforcement and public safety activities, including traffic accident investigations, drug trafficking operations, and cybercrime prevention. It is developing a national electronic registry of individuals convicted of sexual violence against minors, with a planned launch by 2027. The MVD also coordinates with other agencies on border security, public warnings about online scams, and the collection of health data from foreign nationals treated in medical facilities.
