The Olympic Committee of Russia (OKR) was temporarily reinstated by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on July 7, 2026, after a suspension that began on October 12, 2023. The suspension followed the inclusion of regional Olympic councils from Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions—territories considered part of Ukraine’s jurisdiction.
