Smyrtos

Smyrtos is an oil tanker that was seized by British authorities in mid-June in the English Channel. The vessel was associated with a 'shadow fleet' of Russian ships and linked to efforts to circumvent sanctions. British officials are considering selling nearly 100 thousand tons of crude oil from the ship, which has sparked concerns about potential retaliation from Russia. The seizure was reportedly ordered by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
