Alexander Chayko is the Commander-in-Chief (Head of Staff) of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS). He was reportedly the intended target of a terrorist explosion at the Balzi Rossi restaurant in Moscow on 1 August 2024, during which his son-in-law, Danil Peredriy, was confirmed dead, his daughter Maria sustained serious injuries, and another relative, Julia Kirillova, may have died. Multiple sources indicate that several relatives and associates of Chayko were affected by the blast.
