Valeria Chekalin, known as Lerchek, is a Russian social media influencer who has been publicly battling stage-four gastric cancer since February 2026, shortly after the birth of her fourth child. She was convicted in July 2027 by Moscow's Gagarinsky District Court on charges of illegal currency transfers exceeding 250 million roubles to the UAE, receiving a five-year suspended sentence, a fine of over 763.5 million roubles, and a ban on managing online platforms, with her appeal pending.
