Denis Lyamin, a 47-year-olds general-major, was appointed by Vladimir Putin on 5 August to lead the newly established Unmanned Systems Troops of the Russian Aerospace Forces. He previously served as chief of staff of the group of forces 'Center' and commanded the 58th Army in 2019. The appointment was confirmed by the Ministry of Defense, with a decree signed by Minister Andrei Belousov.
