Former CEO of the TNS Energy holding, Dmitry Arzhanov, was sentenced to 18 years in a strict-regime colony by the Tver District Court of Moscow for embezzlement of nearly 15 billion rubles from network companies. He was also fined 850 million rubles and prohibited from holding managerial positions. Arzhanov, described in the coverage as a former owner and key figure in the now-defunct Russian private energy conglomerate TNS Energy, is appealing the verdict.
