Dmitriy Protopopov, former director of the publishing houses Popcorn Books and Individuum, was sentenced to four years' probation by the Zamoskvoretsky District Court in Moscow on August 7, 2025, for involvement in the so-called 'LGBT-extremism' case. He admitted guilt, entered into a pre-trial agreement, and provided testimony against top management of 'Eksmo-AST'. The court also imposed a four-year ban on his editorial and internet administration activities and confiscated 8.735 million rubles as 'illicit income'.
