Ksenia Belousova was convicted for publishing a video on social media showing her smoking from a hookah made out of a paschal kulich (Easter bread). She was charged with offending the feelings of believers. The Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) submitted a motion to the court requesting a mitigated sentence due to her repentance, which was supported by her written confession.
