Michael Martens is a journalist for the German publication Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZH). He is under investigation in Russia following his question at a press conference in Belgrade on August 8 involving European support for killing more Russian soldiers. Russian authorities have opened a criminal case against him under part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (incitement of hatred or enmity), and he has been placed in the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs' wanted database, though an international arrest warrant has not yet been issued.
