Maxim Kryglov, a former deputy of the Moscow City Duma and former vice-chairman of the Russian opposition party 'Yabloko', was convicted in June 2022 by the Zamoskvoretsky District Court in Moscow. He was sentenced to seven years in a penal colony for allegedly spreading false information about the Russian Armed Forces during the special military operation in Ukraine, based on two Telegram posts from 2022.
