Maxim Kruglov

politician

Maxim Kryglov was a deputy and former vice-chairman of the Russian political party 'Yabloko'. In June 2022, he was convicted by a Moscow court for spreading false information about the Russian armed forces during the special military operation in Ukraine. He was sentenced to seven years in prison and banned from administering websites for three years. Kryglov was also placed on a list of individuals associated with extremist activities or terrorism. His case is part of broader political persecution targeting Yabloko members, including other vice-chairmen Lev Shlosberg and Boris Vishnevsky.
