Mikhail Polyakov, a former colonel of the FSB in retirement, was convicted by the Moscow Garrison Military Court on charges of extortion related to the Telegram channels 'Kremlinskaya Prahka' and 'Nezygar'. He was sentenced to 11 years in a strict-regime penal colony, fined 800,000 rubles, and stripped of his military rank. The court found him guilty of orchestrating a group effort to extort nearly 50 million rubles from top managers of the IT company 'Lanit'.
