Николай Бондаренко — член КПРФ и кандидат в Государственную думу от Удмуртской Республики иПермского края, баллотировавшийся в 2024 году. Он был задержан 21 августа 2024 года в Саратове по подозрению в публикации фотографии Алексей Навального, что привело к административному делу по ст. 20.3 Кодекса РФ об административных правонарушениях. Октябрьский районный суд вынес ему штраф в 1000 рублей, после чего Центральная избирательная комиссия 7 сентября аннулировала его регистрацию на выборах. Несмотря на снятие с выборов, он остался в партийном строю.
