Rustem Umerov

Rustem Umerov is a Ukrainian official who, as of August 2025, serves as the head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR). He previously held the role of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, and has been involved in high-level diplomatic engagements with U.S. representatives, including Stephen Witkoff and Jared Kushner. Umerov is also reported to have been registered as a manager of Asret Transportation LLC in Florida, a company previously accused by the U.S. Department of the Treasury of money laundering.
