Lena Patyaeva is a Russian activist who has been involved in public efforts to seek justice for Seda Suleymanova, a woman allegedly abducted from Saint Petersburg in 2019 and taken to Grozny. In August 2026, on the third anniversary of Seda's disappearance, Patyaeva held a solitary protest in Grozny near a monument to journalists, demanding an investigation into the alleged murder of her friend, and was subsequently detained by local police. She was issued an administrative protocol for violating public event regulations, specifically for conducting an unauthorized public demonstration.
