His funeral took place on July 26 at Smolenskoe Cemetery in Saint Petersburg, where he was buried alongside his wife, Tatyana Moskvin. His pасынок, musician Vsevolod Moskvin, confirmed the news and shared that Sholokhov had been deeply affected by the loss of his wife.
