Tatyana Pletneva was a Russian actress who passed away at the age of 48 due to severe oncological disease, specifically fourth-stage liver cancer and cirrhosis. She had been undergoing treatment in a Moscow hospital before her death. Her only daughter, Alena, spoke publicly about the need for support following her mother's passing and organized a fundraiser for the funeral expenses. Pletneva was buried at Novo-Bogorodskoye Cemetery in Moscow after a ceremony held at the morgue of GKB No. 36 named after Inozemtsev.
