Valeriya Chekaliná, also known as Letchek or Lerche, is a former Russian entrepreneur and blogger who was convicted in July 2024 by the Gagarinsky District Court of illegal currency operations linked to her fitness events, receiving a five-year suspended sentence and a fine of over 765 million rubles. She is currently undergoing treatment for progressive metastatic gastric cancer with metastases in the adrenal glands, lungs, and ovaries, and has reportedly been unable to leave her bed, with her legal team alleging that court appearances disrupted her medical care.
