Zakhar Prilepin is a Russian writer, publicist, and political figure who has participated in combat operations in Donbas since 2014. He signed a contract with Rosgvardiya (National Guard) in January 2023 and was later discharged; his son, Ignat Prilepin, served in the 'Rodnya' unit within the 'Pyatnashka' inter-brigade of the volunteer corps.
