The US Coast Guard announced the signing of two contracts for the construction and delivery of six new-class Arctic icebreakers patrol vessels to strengthen US positions in the Arctic. American company Bollinger Shipyards Lockport received a contract to build four icebreakers valued at $2.2 billion.
