The illegal activities of eight members of a defected cell of the banned international terrorist organization operating in the Baksan district of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic have been stopped. During searches, authorities seized 10 units of rifle and smoothbore weapons, 500 cartridges, 5 kg of gunpowder, 12 homemade incendiary devices along with components for their manufacture, 18 knives, three Motorola radios, medicines, camping gear suitable for mountain-forest terrain, and food products.
