Russia to Introduce Behavioral Grades in Schools from 2026

Starting September 1, 2026, Russian schools will begin introducing a three-tier behavioral evaluation system for students in grades 2–8, separate from academic performance and not affecting exam eligibility or disciplinary actions. The system, tested in 89 schools during the 2025/26 academic year, uses four criteria and ten indicators to assess behavior as 'exemplary,' 'acceptable,' or 'unacceptable.'
