Pastor from South Africa Declares October 12–13 End of the World
South African pastor Joshua Mlakela, known for his 'accurate' predictions of the end of the world, again named a fatal date — the apocalypse is allegedly set to occur on October 12–13.
Consensus
- Joshua Mlakela, a South African pastor, announced that the end of the world will happen on October 12–13.
- Mlakela claims he received the new date through visions of God and Jesus Christ.
- He states that this date is final and will not be changed.
- Mlakela previously predicted the end of the world for September 23, 2025, which did not occur.
- Some of his followers took the previous prediction seriously, selling homes and cars and quitting jobs.
- After the failed prediction, Mlakela said God delayed the end of the world to give people more time to repent.
- Mlakela now attributes his past error to a calendar discrepancy, linking the correct date to the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah, which he claims falls in October rather than September.
