The Government is to establish the International Ludmila A. Verbetskaya Prize for outstanding contributions to the study, preservation, and promotion of the Russian language and Russian speech culture, and to adopt regulations governing this prize. This decision was made in honor of the 90th anniversary of the birth of linguist and President of Saint Petersburg State University (SPbGU) Ludmila Verbetskaya.
