Donald Trump claimed he asked Google to rename the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean in his honor or in honor of America.
Trump stated he spoke with Google CEO Sundar Pichai about the proposal.
Pichai reportedly refused, citing that oceans border multiple countries.
Trump said he decided to abandon the idea.
Trump previously succeeded in renaming the Gulf of Mexico to 'American Gulf' and Lake Ontario to 'Lake America' on Google Maps for U.S. users.
The renamed names are only visible to users in the United States, while users in other countries see the original names or both.
