The official exchange rate of the ruble against the US dollar set by the Central Bank of Russia on October 8 is 85.48 rubles, against the euro – 96.33 rubles, and against the Chinese yuan – 12.75 rubles. On October 5, the Russian Ministry of Finance reported that it would allocate 279.42 billion rubles to purchase foreign currency and gold in accordance with budgetary rules.
